Check out Croy & The Boys with their album “Howdy High-Rise” at Waterloo Records on Thu, Aug 22 at 5pm.  The Austin-based band unpacks personal life changes over the past three years along with portrayals of working class life and the ever-increasing extremes of wealth, gender and racial inequality. Drawing stylistic and lyrical inspiration from Doug Sahm and the Texas Tornados and Woody Guthrie, Croy and the Boys deliver a potent collection of tracks filled with with elements of honky-tonk barrooms, Tex-Mex grooves, affecting honesty and sharp, humorous musical storytelling.
